Romina Goransky, an origami teacher in Argentina made this origami tessellation dress to wear for her brother’s wedding over ten days.
Goransky used taffeta, a crisp, smooth plain woven fabric made from synthetic fibers or silk. Using a mixture of glue and water, they made the dress retain the tessellation pattern.
View Larger Periodic Tile designs for a uni project based on the theme ‘British Seaside’. Individual shapes cut from a square and rearranged to cover a surface without gaps or overlap. A very time consuming task but quite pleased with my outcome!
View Larger Stacked hexagons and triangles. Basically I made a tessellation, then did an open back version on top of it.

For the record, this paper looks great but vellum is ill suited for this use.
[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.] Super Morrissey Bros.
So this is a cover of “This Charming Man” by The Smiths done in the style of Super Mario Bros.. I’m planning on doing a video as soon as I can figure out how to work with Flash. The sound effects are only there to help the listener visualize the “game”. I’m looking to do other 80s songs in this style as well (with accompanying videos). Enjoy!
This is a triangular fabric I made from canvas and a million wood triangles. I draped it over some paint cans but it lays flat without. And folds up.
